You will also find excerpts from The Star Ledger's interviews with both candidates that include a question on arts support. Don't forget to vote on November 8--make sure your voice is heard!!

To complete the planning process started earlier this year and finalize the Reshaped ArtsPlan, your input is needed!

Start by reviewing the draft plan available on the Arts Plan NJ website: www.artsplannj.org Then keep it open on your screen as you progress through the online survey. Use this survey to share your ideas on programs, initiatives, campaigns and strategies that will be required to achieve the goals of the plan. Also feel free to offer your suggestions on who else needs to be active in the planning process. Remember this is YOUR ArtsPlan for a better New Jersey through and for the arts!

Join us on Wednesday, December 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the New Jersey Performing Art Center's Chase Room for ArtPRIDE's annual general membership meeting. Tom Tresser of Creative America will be the featured speaker on "The Politics of Creativity--A Call to Service." Tom’s interactive presentation shows why artists and creative leaders are needed in public life and why we all should start thinking about seeking leadership roles outside of our creative profession!

ArtPRIDE will also honor two outstanding Arts Advocates—Former Secretary of State and NJ State Assemblywoman, and ArtPRIDE Honorary Trustee Jane Burgio, and Peter Ventimiglia, retiring Vice President of External Affairs at Verizon New Jersey.

Finally, ArtPRIDE will announce the new slate of trustees and officers for 2005-2006, so please join us on December 7! This event is free to ArtPRIDE members in good standing and $25 for non-members.
